Your MIIS FC Captains Martiño, Robby, and Rob welcome you to the Globadores Fall 2011 Soccer Season
Tryouts for the Fall 2011 team will take place this weekend (8/27 & 8/28) from 10:00am-12:00pm and Thursday (9/1) from 12:00-2:00pm.
If you plan to attend the tryouts this weekend, please arrive outside the MIIS library at 9:40am for rides to the playing field. The weekend tryout sessions will be held at Monterey High School’s field.
On Thursday (9/1) we will meet in front of the Library at 11:50am for rides and depart for the El Estero Park fields where the session will be held.
We recommend that all players attend every tryout session. However, it is ok to miss either Saturday or Sunday. The Thursday session on 9/1 is mandatory, but if you have a conflict and cannot attend, please contact the team management at miis.globadores@gmail.com. If you have a car, please bring it so that you can help take others to the field.
Bring water and soccer boots. If you want to participate but need to purchase some boots before the tryouts and don’t know where to go, email miis.globadores@gmail.com and we will provide info or organize a trip to the soccer store.
Pre-tryout Activities
In addition to the tryouts, some team representatives will be at the Information Fair on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00pm at the Samson Center patio. Come by our table for more information about tryouts, the team, or whatever. There will also be pre-tryout practices and pickup games, on Tuesday and Thursday of this week (8/23 & 8/25) @ 6pm at the Pacific Grove HS field. All prospective and returning players are invited. These practices are neither mandatory nor will they be a factor in player decisions for the roster. However, they will be fun and everyone is welcome. As with the tryouts, we will meet in front of the library before leaving for the field at 5:45pm.
