Playing with a heavily depleted squad, the Globadores were handed their first defeat at the hands of FC Seaside. MIIS were missing 6 players already before kick-off, and went down another after Geoff Quiros pulled up injured while scoring for MIIS early in the game. A weakened MIIS defense struggled endlessly to contain a very athletic and skillful Seaside attack.
The Globadores had no subs available for nearly the entire match. With no rest under the hot sun, the Globadores were losing steam in the second half as they struggled to score an equalizer while the game was still 3-2. However, Seaside scored their fourth goal to secure all 3 points.
The Globadores will look to bounce back against DLI this Sunday at 11:00. This Sunday the Globadores should have almost a full roster and will see the competitive debut of the Globadores newest members, Peter and Libby.
